E.H.R. APPLICATION ANALYST

This position is focused on the ambulatory Electronic Health Record ("EHR") setting in physician practices and is specifically responsible for physician practice EHR implementations and support, for understanding clinical workflows, and for providing training and support for new and existing EHR processes. The person in this role is a project leader as well as a technical specialist and consultant. The qualified candidate must have a minimum 3 years of Information Systems analysis; College degree preferred. This management position will fulfill the role of Compliance and Privacy Director and Health Information Medical Records Custodian. Successful candidate will coordinate and manage the Health Information Management (HIM) functions of the LSU Healthcare Network in symbiosis with the Information Technology Department and the Electronic Health Record. Will promote and monitor training activity as it relates to provider coding, billing, and medication documentation compliance and will oversee all aspects of HIPPA compliance and education.  Minimum required education/experience: Bachelor’s degree in HIM (or related healthcare, compliance degree) or an Associate’s Degree in Health Information Technology with a minimum of 5 years experience in healthcare is required. Qualified candidate must have two years of experience as a RN or Nurse Practitioner, preferably in a Vascular, or a surgical subspecialty practice and/or clinic setting.
