SWINE FLU UPDATE

April 30, 2009

As you are probably aware from reports in the news media, public health officials in the United States and throughout the world are investigating outbreaks of swine influenza A (swine flu).  There has been no indication whatsoever that any individual within our area has been affected at this time.

Should you have flu-like symptoms such as fever, headache, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue, we recommend that you seek medical attention by contacting your primary healthcare provider.   LSU Healthcare Network is closely monitoring the developments in the nationwide public health emergency involving swine flu and we are fully prepared to provide complete testing and medical services for our patients and community.
