About  Our Department

The LSU Department of Allergy and Immunology focuses on the immune system and its hypersensitivities to perceived threats (more commonly known as allergies). Our physicians are Louisiana’s leaders in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic and immunologic conditions of various severity and complexity.

LSU allergists and immunologists offer careful, goal-directed diagnosis and treatment of allergic and immunologic conditions, providing our patients with personalized health care through the establishment and maintenance of an ongoing doctor-patient relationship. Our physicians dedicate themselves to meticulously analyzing the details of each patient’s condition, ensuring that all treatments are focused precisely on the patient’s individual needs.

The LSU Department of Allergy and Immunology specializes in care for allergies, asthma, and immunologic disorders including primary immunodeficiency disorders (PIDD). We recognize that living with certain immunologic conditions is hazardous. Our completely sterile Allergy and Immunology Clinic caters to the sensitive needs of our patients—offering special examination rooms with sealed doors dedicated to food challenges and the absence of allergens around our patients. Our immunodeficient patients can feel safe in our facilities in contrast to the typical waiting room. Our experts often coordinate care with other specialists in the multidisciplinary LSU Healthcare Network in order to provide our patients with the most precise care for their specific condition. We look forward to working together with you towards a better quality of life.
