About Our Department
LSU Healthcare Network’s OBGYN Department provides much more than routine obstetrical and gynecological care, our physicians also act as trusted advocates to help women of all ages decipher the frequently misleading messages that surround the subject of women’s health. Every stage of a woman’s life introduces specific health issues, and routine OBGYN exams are proven to help prevent disease and maintain well-being. LSU’s OBGYN Department offers its expertise in all areas of women’s health including routine gynecology exams, contraceptive options, family planning, and advanced treatments for specific conditions such as difficulty with conception or fertility, gynecologic cancer, or bladder problems.
Our OBGYN physicians take pride in delivering pregnancy care of the highest caliber. We work closely with our soon-to-be mothers to best understand and respect their personal preferences, collaborating on an individualized birth plan. Dedicated physicians monitor the health of both the mother and child throughout the entire pregnancy, and also provide state of the art post-partum care.
Our team has years of experience in caring for the full spectrum of pregnancies and childbirth scenarios. Should high-risk pregnancy care be required, LSU’s OBGYN Department is a regional leader in providing unparalleled care and treatments in high-risk cases. Our collective experience also allows us to help extend pregnancies to reach a full or near-term delivery.
Our full range of gynecologic subspecialists are here to serve you with the most complex gynecologic problems including neonatal care for babies before and after birth.
